Task 2b

Introduction

Task 2b asks you to discuss some reasons why Sir David Attenborough’s message about intelligence and wisdom can make people feel optimistic about the planet’s future. You are required to use the material in Appendix 2 as inspiration. 

The quote in Appendix 2 comes from Sir David Attenborough and is taken from the documentary A Life on our Planet. The statistics in Appendix 2 refer to renewable energy in the UK and are taken from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. 

We will provide you with a brief outline of the material and then offer you some examples of how to discuss Sir David Attenborough’s message in connection to the planet’s future.
