The Butler is an American movie that released in 2013. The movie is about the Civil Rights Movement and the American history from the 1960s. This story portrays a butler named Cecil Gaines who used to work at the White House. Cecil Gaines served all the US presidents after World War II starting with Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and lastly Barack Obama. During the movie the butler's youngest son Charlie felt a strong need to fight for his country, however due to the nature of war, he passed away. While in the South, however, conditions were not very good for the colored community due to the activity of the Ku Klux Klan.
