Introduction:

We have chosen to write about the movie “American History X” because it gives an interesting description of life in a poor society in USA. It shows generally that poverty leads to jealousy, and therefore scapegoats are needed. The interesting thing about this story is that it is white people that chose the black as scapegoats and not the other way around. Usually in American movies it's about black people who feel threatened by the “white man” because society in USA still offers the white people a better chance than the black people. Even though slavery has been terminated, and the black people have got their civil rights established to function on a line with the white people, you cannot change the mentality of the rich white population, which infects the rest of the white populace.
