This movie takes us back to the year 1968. The year Nelson Mandela was arrested and imprisoned. «Goodbye Bafana» is based on the true story of Nelson Mandelas officer - James Gregory. Director Billie August has done a wonderful job getting the film as authentic as possible. The main actors in this movie is Joseph Fiennes (as James Gregory), Dennis Haysbert (as Nelson Mandela), and Diane Kruger (as Gloria Gregory). And I must say; the striking similarity between Nelson Mandela and Dennis Haysbert gives the film a big plus.
